Georgia and South Carolina are both projected to win 11 games, but the Bulldogs are the pick to win the East Division. Florida is predicted to lose three games against Georgia, LSU, and South Carolina, but all should be close games so the Gators are still in the hunt.
The West Division could be tightly contested and Texas A&M could surge ahead with an upset over Alabama in week two. LSU could give some trouble in the West as well. The Tigers defeated the Aggies 24-19 last season and are projected to win again this year.
Ole Miss will be the most improved team in the nation this year as the Rebels are projected at 10 wins. Arkansas and Auburn will be improved on the field, but will only up their season win total slightly while in rebuilding stage.
Mississippi State and Vanderbilt are expected to have down season. The Bulldogs may not reach bowl eligibility. Missouri's and Tennessee's football programs look to be at a standstill.
For the conference, eight schools are projected to be bowl eligible.
