Miami quarterback is a talented player that could help the Hurricanes contend for the ACC Championship this season. Morris was once thought of as a dual-threat QB coming out of high school, but he is now more of a drop back passer.
The Miami native has good placement with the football and has deep ball ability, but while under pressure, he makes more mistakes such as throwing into coverage and sometimes has fidgety footwork. He also has some mobility and shows plenty of zip on his passes.
Morris works a lot out of shotgun, but the Miami offense does run plays out of various I-form and singleback formations. If Morris works on his completion percent accuracy and fine tuning the rest of his game, he could have a big season ahead of him and possibly at the next level.
