Fresno State may start the season off slow with back to back losses on the road at USC and Utah. The Bulldogs also have other matchups that should be closely contested in vs. Nebraska and at Boise State which could go either way.
Utah State is picked to be the runner up and much of their success is dependent on the how well quarterback Chuckie Keaton is when he returns. The Aggies only have 10 returning starters, but just the 117th rated strength of schedule.
Boise State has a good chance to contend for the conference title as well, but with the coaching transition for the Broncos, the program may slip slightly and time will only tell if head coach Bryan Harsin will successfully make the move. Despite just the 74th ranked strength of schedule, the Broncos have a couple tough away games at Nevada and in Atlanta vs. Ole Miss as well as some tough teams coming to the Blue like against BYU and Fresno State.
