Florida State is a strong favorite due to returning Heisman Trophy winner Jameis Winston and the stable of talent the Seminoles have bolstered up to. Last season, FSU got the job done on both sides of the ball by finishing second overall offensively in points per game and first defensively in points allowed per game. There are only four returning starters on defense, but there should be enough talent on the roster to fill in the holes.
Duke is projected to win the Coastal Division and has a chance to upset Florida State in the ACC Championship. The Blue Devils have receiver Jamison Crowder who could give Winston competition for ACC Player of the Year. Duke also has the returning ACC Coach of the Year in David Cutcliffe.
The Clemson Tigers are the next likely team to win the Atlantic Division and have 15 starters back from last season including defensive standout end Vic Beasley. Unfortunately for the Tigers, they share the division with the biggest hurdle of the conference being Florida State.
Louisville and Virginia Tech have an outside shot at claiming a division title or could possibly pull off the longshot upset in the conference championship.
